Learner's License
Teens can apply for a learner's license at age 15 after completing the required education course and testing.
Class E Driver License

How To Get Your Florida Driver’s License
Complete driver education
Drivers under 18 must complete the required Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) course.

Apply for a learner's license
Visit a Florida licensing office and submit your application.
Pass the knowledge exam
Complete the Class E Knowledge Exam along with vision and hearing screenings.
Practice driving

Complete 50 practice hours
Teen drivers need at least 50 hours of driving experience, including 10 at night.
Pass the driving skills test

Receive your license
